About Kristy
Welcome! Kristy’s mission is to empower families like yours to navigate the challenges of raising children with ADHD, including transition planning from the class to a career, with confidence and resilience. My name is Kristy Darby, and I am passionate about sharing my journey and experiences to support others on their path to success.
My own journey began when I met my current husband, whose son was diagnosed with ADHD and learning disabilities. Like many families, we struggled to find the right balance for him in school. We were told by educators that he couldn’t improve his skills and faced numerous roadblocks in accessing the support he needed to thrive.
Determined to advocate for him and ensure that he received the education and opportunities he deserved, we found our own advocate and refused to accept the limitations placed on him. Through perseverance, dedication, and unwavering support, he not only graduated from high school but also earned a diploma from vo-tech. Today, he is thriving, working full-time, driving, and excelling in all areas of his life.
Our journey taught us the importance of embracing the family unit in a holistic way, addressing not only educational needs but also financial stability, emotional well-being, and meaningful family connections. In addition to supporting families navigating the challenges of ADHD, we also offer resources that may benefit your family, such as family coaching, financial and business coaching to help families achieve stability and prosperity, and products to bring awareness. Furthermore, as an ordained minister from a non-denominational church, Kristy would be honored to officiate your wedding ceremony and/or vow renewal, celebrating the unity and love within families. We also prioritize self-care, recognizing its importance in maintaining resilience and well-being for caregivers and family members alike. Kristy’s holistic approach aims to empower families to thrive in all aspects of their lives, creating a supportive and nurturing environment where every member can flourish.
Kristy is also a speaker and an author. She has presented before a group of family attorneys about the importance of understanding education law for their clients. Also, she presented to a group of education attorneys about what parents want them to understand. She has provided numerous trainings to parents about their educational rights. She is available for speaking engagements, including corporate presentations to help management understand ADHD, necessary accommodations, and how to help with team building when ADHD is a member.
Kristy is here to share her knowledge, expertise, and experiences to help you navigate the journey of raising a child with ADHD (or other disabilities). Her goal is to provide you with the tools, resources, and support you need to advocate effectively for your child, access the services and accommodations they require, and ultimately, help them reach their full potential.
She understands the frustrations and challenges you may face and will walk alongside you every step of the way. Together, she can provide you with support to cut through the red tape, overcome barriers, and advocate for your child’s education and opportunities they deserve.
Join us on this journey of empowerment, advocacy, and success. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of children with ADHD and their families.
